Skolia provides staffing for student health primarily in small private schools in Skåne.
A special educator works to prevent barriers and create accessible learning environments for children and students in need of special support. They assess needs, guide teachers in pedagogical adaptations, and are part of the student health team to promote learning and development for all.
Main responsibilities:
- Analyze and assess: Maps barriers in the learning environment and identifies students' needs for additional adaptations or special support.
- Guide staff: Supports teachers and teams with pedagogical strategies and methods to adapt teaching.
- Preventive work: Works strategically to create an inclusive environment, often in collaboration with school management and student health.
- Support students: Helps students, both individually and in groups, to develop study techniques and overcome learning difficulties.
- Collaboration: Collaborates with guardians, speech therapists, and other external actors.
